GSA Prime Coat Solution
The prime coating is the crucial first step in producing high-quality castings. The main ingredients in the prime coat are Zircon Flour, Zircon Sand, Polybond Prime Binder, as well as the wetting agent GSA 6570 and GSA Antifoam 2.

Zircon Flour and Zircon Sand
For PIC customers, the quality and consistency of Zircon are the most critical factors. GSA understands these needs and guarantees uniform chemical composition and sieve size distribution of Zircon. To achieve this, we manufacture Zircon Flour 200 mesh in-house using the same Zircon Sand. Additionally, our dedicated in-house slurry preparation setup ensures that slurry parameters are verified before customers create their prime slurry in the shell room.
Polybond Prime
Polybond Prime is a polymer-enhanced colloidal silica binder formulation designed for prime slurry. The use of a polymer-enhanced binder ensures uniform drying both internally and externally, preventing coat delamination and drying cracks, even for complex parts. Additionally, it enhances permeability after shell firing, reducing metal-mold reactions and ultimately improving the casting surface finish.
GSA 6570
GSA 6570 is an anionic organic surfactant designed for use in investment casting slurries.
